Barron suspiciously favors Slovenian Luka Dončić. He has the height, too.

Hey, gang. Took a bunch of time off SJ mostly to avoid reading about newspaper layoffs. Got bored. This thread still a colossal shitshow? Like usual, right?

So the Republicans are saying Biden's taken a position of court-packing even though Biden has said he hasn't taken a position on court-packing.

In other news, water is wet. Sun to set in West today.

That statement isn't in reference to what their kids do. It's what the men themselves do when asked questions they don't like. In Joe Biden's case it happened to be about Hunter; in the case of Trump - who is worse, let us never miss that - it could be almost anything.

Biden suggested the person asking the question had low character. Trump, of course, does this often. The subject on the table is less material. Biden

I have no idea what internal discussions at Fox News looked like.

It's possible the whole thing is made up and a Russian plot. I have to admit, the parts where Hunter connects his dad to the Ukranians does seem fishy and on the nose. Other personal disclosures seem hard to make up, as if the plausibility of those things help give cover to the stuff that really matters.

And even still...the election isn't about any of it at all. This isn't going to tilt the election away from ol Joe. The virus is the determining factor, people generally see getting the virus as a kind of moral failure by someone - either the person himself or some person around them - and Trump wears that. He was hideous in the debate, and...it's over. We're going to have a new president. I don't know what the score will be but, Biden's going to win.

So, at some point, somebody might want to wonder what a Biden administration will be like. Better? Oh, sure, in 14 different ways. Good? I dunno.

There is no chance Biden’s administration will be filled with 1% of the soulless thieving ghouls that inhabit the trump administration.

Why is your default setting "it's true!," especially when it comes to a story which has so many obvious holes?

And "they wouldn't make it up!" isn't an answer. Uranium One! was made up. Benghazi! was made up (in so far as it pointed to something scandalous in the Obama administration). Obama's Czars! Obama spied on Trump! Obama Weaponized the IRS! .... and on and on and on and on.

At some point: When the same cast of characters come forward with yet another "allegation," don't you have to ask them to prove it first?

I can't wait to see what question from Stahl made Trump quit the interview.

This is setting up a play where Trump, who's getting more agitated by the second now, turns on the debate moderator, another woman, allowing Biden to chivalrously come to her defense. That'll bring back those suburban women voters!
