Michael, my understanding of it (and I defer in totality to people like David Plouffe and Rick Wilson) is the national map has not only shrunk, but the municipalities as well.

Trump is having to peel off votes with no message to offer. It's bad enough the GOP doesn't have an actual platform but it can't even get the pet oaf to spell out the agenda.

When my mom’s dementia started getting serious in 2017 or so, one of the things that went out the window was her capacity for critical thinking. She became someone who could be easily convinced by “authority figures” about things, which is how she got tricked by people running the “Microsoft Windows tech support says your computer has malware” scam. I see some of the same signs with Giuliani.

If anything, I think the numbers are encouraging GOTV efforts to make sure Trump gets the asskicking he so richly deserves.
