Now ... it's up to Chuck to do exactly what he threatened to do if the Republicans pulled this crap. This time, the Democrats have to make clear that they mean it.

    Add three justices.
    Dump the filibuster.
    Dump the Electoral College.
Add Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C.

Then gauge the hangdog reactionary face on Moscow Mitch.
    Finally, smile.

    1) Lesley Stahl's 40-year professional track record is a lot more impressive than Donald Trump's.
    2) Get better, Driftwood.

Sorry to say but Donald Trump cleaned Leslie Stahl’s clock in that interview. It’s his best interview of the campaign. I truly mean that.

We're getting close. I am 100% determined to not overlook his paths to victory no matter how narrow or underhanded, but the clock is ticking hard on Trump here.

In 2016, we talk about the polling error (which ended up being about 1% nationally but bigger in the rust belt states) but an equally big story was how hard independents broke for Trump in the final three weeks. Clinton was up 49-42 in the polling average with 21 days to go before the election, and Trump got that down to 47-45 with a week to go. A ton of those undecideds turned out to be shy Republican voters.

With 9 days to go, it's still holding at 51-43 for Biden. Which means that Trump doesn't just need a late break from undecideds, he needs people who convince pollsters they are voting for Biden to change their mind.

If you asked me to just look at the objective metrics, I'd say this was over and 400 EVs are more likely than a Trump win.

We're gonna disagree about that. He looked and acted like a total asshole and lied through his teeth the entire time. It scored points with his base, but no one else, and again, you're not gonna get educated suburban women to vote for you by condescendingly insulting Savannah Guthrie and Stahl.

As an aside, it drives me nuts when people, let alone professional writers, end non-question sentences with question marks. I get that this was just a tweet, but still.

If the K-Pop kids are voting like it appears they are voting, the polls are seriously undercounting the Biden vote. I’m starting to think the dream of 400 EVs could actually be attainable. Not to mention how it plays down the ballot.

Blue wave? This could be Waterworld for the GOP.

I’m finishing Tim Alberta’s American Carnage. Interesting book. One of the things he discusses is Election Day 2016. All the Republican bigshots — Priebus, Ryan on down — thought they were going to be slaughtered. Their polling told them that.

After he wins, Trump says, “The voters told the exit pollers they voted for Clinton or ‘None of your damn business. And all of those people voted for me!” Is there any chance that is happening again? Any at all?

We must have been watching different interviews. If you mean cleaning someone's clock means constant interruptions, smart-asses comments and continually changing the subject, I might agree to some extent. But in terms of having a civil interview, she was more than patient, yet hit him with the right questions.
Then, he assumes that Biden will get softballs. His minions, most of whom probably didn't watch it, assume the same thing. Yet, O'Donnell hit Biden with questions about the tax increase, packing the court, his son, whether he thinks China or Russia is the biggest threat and if he will be a figurehead for Harris-Bernie-AOC. O'Donnell this hit Harris with the fact that she's rated the most liberal senator and whether she will try to exert socialist influence on Biden.
Trump, Pence, Biden and Harris all got the questions they should have been asked. We didn't get every answer, from all four. Trump is the one who behaved like a bully, then a petulant brat.
