One of those listed who is not on the current SCOTUS was a Confederate official, so.....

 

I feel like Republicans have gotten everything they could've hoped for at this same time four years ago - SCOTUS control, huge tax breaks for the rich...and a free pass to be assholes.

They never could've thought they'd have Trump win. But he did, and in these four years, they've gotten as much as they could've ever hoped for. The court they built will destroy Obamacare next.

I can't help but feel they'll make this deal every single time, the future be damned. They got what they wanted. They'll look forward to bashing Dems and regroup for 2022 midterms.

 

I was just speculating about Obama being a justice.

And was trying to think of some names that people would know and give some legitimacy to the four new justices.

 

If the Democrats get control of the Senate and the White House, they could nominate and confirm Judge Judy and not give a damn what Republicans have to say about it after the crap Mitch McConnell and his crew have pulled.

 

It's that simple. Win first. Then if you win, fuck the other guys. That's what the GOP wanted, that's what they've got.

 

You really want to piss them off? Make these three of the four:

Sri Srinivasan
Ketanji Brown Jackson
Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar

And throw in Paul Watford, who clerked for RBG

Agreed. At this point, Biden beating Trump is what matters most.

 

At best SD was 3rd team All Gangbang

 

What I can't figure out is that in 2008 President Obama won 28 states, 53 percent of the vote and beat McCain by 9.5 million, and in 2012 he won 26 states, 51 percent and won by five million. He was getting an awful lot of white people to vote for him.

 

I can see a movie being made just about these three confirmations. It's neat and modular, with the same prescribed outcome.
