I guess in all likelihood, Garland was not going to be confirmed (any Senator who didn't think Obama should have been able to put someone on the court in his last year was within his rights to vote no on principle and with Republicans in control, they could have voted him down), but they could have at least gone through the formality of a hearing and a vote. Was it that important to not even give Obama the chance to say "at least he got a vote"?

Was it that important to deny Obama any victory at all?

 

If Biden wins and Dems take the Senate, they better go full Clint Eastwood during the end of Unforgiven. Drink the whiskey and get to the work of revenge. Hopefully they have finally realized there’s no reaching across the aisle with these asshole hypocrite republicans.

But as has been said, gotta win and win big first.
