Jon Swan of Axios reports that Trump's advisers are white with rage at Fox News. I don't get it. What's their beef? If the decision desk called Arizona wrong, then you won it. If they're right, well, why is that their fault? Are they really so far gone they think Fox is gonna make up returns for them? Even Lou Dobbs runs the right quotations on the stock ticker.

Funny, on Twitter, many of their leading lights were saying "a win's a win" just yesterday.

Dumping the incumbent by almost 4 million votes and flipping possibly four states looks like repudiation to me. Getting rid of Trump was the end game. Flipping the Senate would have been great, but also just icing on the cake. If you don't have the White House, you're on the outs.

    It's a nationwide win.

    * Biden won Hawaii, the West Coast and Northeast in landslides, and possibly 3/4 of the desert west (New Mexico, possibly Nevada, Arizona). He won Colorado, state that matters in the Rockies.

    * The won the only Upper Midwest states (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan) that matter. He won the important Mid-Atlantic states that matter (New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania).

    * He broke through in the south (Georgia) and almost won North Carolina.

We're never gonna win Kansas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, the Dakotas, Nebraska and West Virginia. Almost all of of the young liberals from there all move out the second they hit 18, or after they've gone to the state universities.

Ohio and Indiana will always be problems because a large section of their states are still quasi-Confederate. Iowa is tough too; Utah also because of the LDS influence, which is waning but still substantial. We're never gonna win the deep South.

North Carolina and Georgia and now following Virginia as totally different states from their Confederate past, thanks to the influx of young people in the metro areas. Texas is moving in that direction too. So is Montana, which is attracting liberal millennials/California ex-pat remote workers like crazy to Missoula and Bozeman, and turning bluer every election.

    Michael-
They lived it for six months. They wanted Florida to go blue and some of the exit data to look different. They didn't want the 25-year-old QAnon jackass in North Carolina to win a House seat. He did. They had skin in the game and are or were not taking it well.

Their beef is they have to blame someone not named Trump.

I find this "Well, actually the Democrats lost the night" logic lacking. It's extremely difficult to lose a second term as president, and it's basically impossible with an even reasonable economy, and yet Trump managed to do it, and for the "victorious" GOP he lost all that executive order power, all the cabinet, all the political appointee clowns he installed all through the government. Gone. Woosh.

And he's not even dead. He and his two-brain-cells-between-them family are going to be rallying fans and tying the GOP to the stupid possible causes for the next four years.

But, yeah, Democrats REALLY blew it. Someone said Democrats were supposed to win a senate seat in freaking Iowa and they didn't so what a great night for Republicans.

Are you sure his phone isn't on the same desk where the hundreds of Congressional bills are ignored?

"You know what would be WAY sweeter than keeping the White House? Having a more narrow margin in the Senate than we had and getting a few house seats closer to having a meaningful number of house seats. That's the real goal."

So 50-50 Senate with President Joe means Kamala would be the tiebreaker?

lol that's going to be funny if/when ...

"The Presidency? Phhhhtttttt. Didn't even want it." — Republicans, here in like 4 hours as their TRUMP 2020 No More Bullshit flags smolders in the fire pit and they eat their red hat.

There is merit to this. Letting The Lincoln Project handle the dirty work while Dems try to be all virtuous and shit is a losing long-term strategy.
