I disagree, and here’s my reasoning and the play.

Biden doesn’t say a word about Trump’s time in office between now and Jan 20th. You just smile and talk about your ideas.

But he has to help the people of the Lincoln Project.

The play is the FBI investigates and charges Trump. Biden does not stand in their way. This will not be a prosecution of the GOP, but it will be a prosecution of Trump and his enablers. A message needs sent that if any Looney Tune gets elected again at any level, you have to follow the rules.

This will help the GOP clean house and help Biden prove he is a man of action to his base.

The awfulness of threatening to lock up political opponents is what made me hate Donald Trump more than anything else. I have no interest in reliving the Reign of Terror.

Were federal laws broken by officials of the US government? Those have to be investigated and if so found, prosecuted. Otherwise, the idea of a society of laws is a farce. The laws are written by public officials, so it gives them a great deal of slack, but DeJoy would seem to be one with serious criminal jeopardy. He fucked up the Postal Service for a corrupt end. We should ignore that?

It means . . . world leaders congratulate new presidents. It's what they do.

Yes, it was "quick." Because the news broke at noon, instead of 1 a.m. as it usually does.

World leaders congratulate Donald Trump on election victory

The American habit 0f rushing to "put things behind us" leaves too much unresolved too often.

Holding criminals accountable for the crimes they commit is no sin.

Accountability tempered by empathy might be a healthier course.

They traditionally wait until the defeated person concedes, but seeing as how they know he won't concede, and they hate his ass, it's a statement.

The president is not a king. He, and his employees are subject to the same laws as everyone else. If they broke the law, prosecute them to the fullest extent.

This whole “we can't prosecute because they’re too important and they’ll do it to us eventually,” is a crock. Don’t break the law, and you won’t have a problem.

Yeah, you say that now. Wait until four candidates who all have massive party PAC money behind them are running commercials every twelve minutes nonstop.

Again, elections are usually called late at night, and the concession usually comes five minutes later. Europe is asleep. You're overthinking this, IMO.

The Lincoln Party people made a whole lot of money for themselves and Trump ended up with a higher percentage of the Republican vote than last time. They did nothing so they get nothing. Same goes for Kasich.
