Mississippi on its own would have roughly the economic success of Chad. Try it.

Possibly Trump's next play to slow down transition? Would he really cut benefits to those in need right before Christmas? Of course he would, only to issue checks with his name on them a week before Christmas.

Succeeding proved so successful for Mississippi in 1861, why not succeed again?

Except it would be worse because they would no longer get tax dollars from the government. I say let them try, with the caveat that every Black American in Mississippi can move out of Mississippi before it happens.

Compare and contrast with Sonny Correlone trying to outrun the bullets. And he died not knowing what happened after "Branca throws."

    Oh no! They can’t!

Mississippi is the only thing that keeps my state from being ranked 50th in a lot of categories!

(The tiny ghost of copy editing still remaining me would like to point out that, regardless of what Mississippi does, our state would remain 49th in those categories, but at least with Mississippi in the contest we wouldn’t be last.)

FWIW to sj.com's Steelers Nation, the Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania was on with John King today to talk about the Sheetz tweet, and not only worked in a "the Cowboys do blow," but ended it with "the Steelers are 8-0."

If you don’t first succeed, succeed, succeed again.

Dick Cheney told a similar story about 9/11. He said he was going into a meeting when the Secret Service told him he needed to be moved to a secure location because of the attacks.

Cheney said he told them to wait a minute while he gathered some papers and one of the agents told him he was going to the secure location NOW, and the two agents each grabbed one of his arms and started carrying him away. Cheney said he couldn’t even reach for a magazine in the lobby, and added that he gained a new respect for the Secret Service that day.

Fetterman has been awesome through this entire thing. Helps that he has the entire "fuck around and find out" look about him.
