Because 4chan has already been overrun by the overt racists.

That's where Parler will go, too, because it happens to all the "we don't censor your speech!" places. Eventually it will be overrun by actual nazis and in-the-open racists.

Never been on Parler. I was giving it the benefit of the doubt. But you may be right ...

 

There was a story today (I saw the headline on Twitter but didn't click to read it because I didn't care) to the effect that some Parler users are getting bored because it's just an echo chamber for their views. Translation: There's nobody on here to troll.

 

My friends, there seem to be a lot of allegations of widespread voter fraud, and “Drumpf” is committed to this battle.

I am beginning to worry there is something to it.

 

Neither have I, but I've seen the flying monkeys of 4chan demolish a poor offender. I've seen enough of Twitter to know that I really don't want to see stuff from the people who have been booted and banned.

You can call it living in my comfortable bubble if you want, but I just don't need the aggro. I read Rich Lowry yesterday, I can deal with contrary views. Low tolerance for trash though.

 

That would be a great counter-programming gig, though. A sharp debater, media savvy, could play the Liberal boogyman on Parler, take and give shots. Clicks galore.

 

A relative who announced his departure to Parler on Facebook two weeks ago is already back posting on Facebook. He wrote that Parler “wasn’t for me.” Not sure what that means and I’m not asking.

It’s a place to get even crazier memes to text your friends and post on Facebook. These MAGA guys love complaining about the censorship of Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, but it’s the sense of grievance which is their reason for existing.

 

Saw a story today that said Parler is overrun with graphic pron as well as child pron. The site, unlike every other social media site, isn't looking for child pron to eliminate.
