Just in case you weren't in on what makes this bit unintentionally hilarious, the governor of Texas is permanently wheelchair-bound after a tree fell on him while jogging in the 1980s.

I can only assume that Noem is going for the Palin track. There's probably nothing that she can do to lose that job unless she were primaried from the right. I assume the COVID bullshit is covering that flank. And once governing South Dakota bores her enough to quit, she's got a clip file all set for a soft landing at Fox News (or whatever right-wing scream machine will keep her in a lifestyle to which she's become accustomed.)
