One of the things that I've spent far too much time thinking about is what would have happened if Hillary had won the Electoral College but lost the popular vote, or if Biden had won the EC but lost the popular.

The margins don't matter as much as the reaction. The country is already teetering on the edge of armed conflict for a guy who lost the popular vote by millions and the EC by the same margin he had won it previously.

The reason why there's not bullets flying is because it just hasn't happened yet. It will. It will be sad and ugly and a bunch of republicans will say it wasn't their fault because they've live consequence free lives.

I just wonder where it will be when it first happens.

Jenna Ellis infected, which is to be expected when your mouth is little more than a receptacle for power mongers' peckers.

GOPers bragging about how many votes Trump got last month: Would anyone be talking about Wilt's 100 pt. game in Hershey if some dude on the Knicks scored 108 that night?

They are not that bold. Sure, there are some devout morons like the roided-out Ayoc guy in Miami, but they're like their emperor-god - all hat and no cattle.
Big mouths attached to low-wattage brains.
Inertia is what they know best.

Some of these guys haven't been in a 'shooting war' since the Nintendo64.

Oh for fuck's sake, the knots you twist in order to indirectly defend this moron. What is wrong with you?

I have never been elected dog catcher, but how about this:
"We are here to celebrate Dan Gable today. Thank you." And escort your guests out.

But even then, America's first "OMG!" space achievement came at the culmination of one of America's worst years.

Very few people can be high achievers in everything. What makes them stand out at X is often because of shortcomings in Y and Z. Same holds true for nations. Some of the things that allow us to achieve X (say, muh freedom!) also bog us down in achieving Y and Z.

I've actually come to like you a little bit so I will allow you to troll me with your love for the early Russian space program. I agree it does not get talked about enough.

Space was our destiny as a people.

"Those who came before us made certain that this country rode the first waves of the industrial revolutions, the first waves of modern invention, and the first wave of nuclear power, and this generation does not intend to founder in the backwash of the coming age of space. We mean to be a part of it--we mean to lead it. For the eyes of the world now look into space, to the moon and to the planets beyond, and we have vowed that we shall not see it governed by a hostile flag of conquest, but by a banner of freedom and peace. We have vowed that we shall not see space filled with weapons of mass destruction, but with instruments of knowledge and understanding."

20 of those 108 points were offensive goaltending, and he was in the 3-second lane too long for another 16 points. Utter fraud.
