OK, may "tapp" wasn't so bad. Alice reminds me that when she worked at the local NBC affiliate in the '80s, she handled a viewer complaint where she had to tell the complaining woman to write the network. "So write NBC ..." Alice began, to be interrupted with "How do you spell that?"

Who knows? There is an entire subspace of twitter comprised of rogue/alt government offices, busy tweeting similar things. Many of them are funny as hell, or release things like that which make you wonder whether they are real or bogus. Yes, if you are really what these accounts allege themselves to be, it would be risky, certainly to your career if not more. OTOH, a burner phone, prepaid, which never goes through the work 'net or wifi might slide right through unless they have intelligence grade scanners up. Look at that account, then at the "similar accounts" sidebar on twitter and you'll see a number of such.

If anything is too good to be true, it is. That simple maxim deals with these accounts.

In a general sense, I agree, with the modification "it usually is". OTOH, it is possible that a few of these are actually principled people who want to get stuff out.

He cheered on every Wikileaks reveal from stolen e-mails. Fuck him.

That headline has the potential of ruining Starman's whole weekend.
