Right now, almost all the ballots counted are absentees and all those small red-leaning counties. Almost none of the metro/suburban Atlanta ballots have hit, particularly DeKalb and Fulton, nor has Savannah. Perdue and Loeffler needed to build a cushion. They haven't done it.

 

Current NYT Election Needle as I type this is Warnock +1.5 and Ossoff +0.9. That's I assume based on a lot of vote left to count from the Atlanta metro area.

the final margins won’t be huge, but they’re getting closer and closer to certain.

the guy who runs the needle is also talking about how the model doesn’t know that atlanta had huge turnout, which is good for the D (heyo ).

At this point, I would put Dem sweep chances at well over 80%

The first heavily Dem rural county, Macon Co., is fully reporting:

Ossoff: +25.0
Warnock: +25.6

Biden (Nov.): +21.3

And turnout is at 91.8% of November levels. Possibly the single best piece of data for the Dems yet.

Let’s hope Darrell Hazel has been entrusted with securing the victory.

 

Unless something changes soon and shockingly, tonight’s Georgia results reflect very, very badly on trump.

And when a narcissist is embarrassed, he isn’t suddenly going to become more sane and reasonable. He’s gonna go even further into the fringes, although who knows where that is
