President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

I keep waiting for someone like Romney (but not Romney, too old and lost to Obama) to body everyone out of the way and say "fuck you, dickturds, this is my party now and we're going back to real conservatism." There's a leadership gap dying to be filled. I think the party would respond to it, they've proven they like being pushed around. But that guy just never shows up.

 

Stupid question: Does the Warnoch-Loeffler winner serve a full 6-year term, or are they finishing out the remaining 2 or 4 years of the guys who resigned? Just asking because it's unusual for a state to have two senate elections in the same election cycle.

 

The Shawshank endgame is becoming more real to the Republicans. They're wondering how they let Donald Trump get the best of them.

 

Finish out. Loeffler is still in the Senate until the results are certified and Warnock is seated.

Just because the GOP clowns refuse to follow the rules, it’s ultimately enforced by the courts. And there is no basis to overturn the electoral votes.

 

The short term. I believe Loeffler was appointed.

 

To me, that’s the irony.

Warnock’s candidacy did all the work to get people out and he’s only got two years. Ossoff rode in on coattails and gets six.

 

Always thinking back to Lindsey Graham in 2016 saying "If we nominate Trump, we will be destroyed...and we will deserve it."
