Ossoff now up by more than 9K. I want his lead at least to be 15K when it goes to the recount.

And I knew he was young, but 33? Youngest senator ever?

Youngest Senator right now (Hawley turned 41 on New Year's Eve), but several folks have been elected close to the Constitutional minimum of 30, including Joe Biden (who was actually elected at 29 but turned 30 just after the election) and Ted Kennedy (about 30 years, 8 months), who were younger than that when entering the Senate. Hell, there are several examples of Senators in their 20s in the early 19th century so apparently they didn't know how to read or something.

That was a fun rabbit trail to go down. The answer is no and no by quite a bit, relatively considering 30 is the minimum.

He'd be the first sub 35 to take office since Don Nickles of Oklahoma who was 32. He'd be the youngest Democrat since ... wait for it ... a strapping 30-year-old plucky senator from Delaware was sworn in in 1973.

The youngest was 28 by John Henry Eaton from Tennessee sworn into office in 1821.

Edit: that was far less dramatic when three people post before you finish your reply...

This all seems like it was discussed here weeks ago now … but Trump just found out that Turnberry’s a no-go.

Thanks! This is the place to come for information.

I'm absolutely stunned and elated by this election. A black and a Jew senator from Georgia. Unbelievable. And now it's time to shove democracy up Moscow Mitch's saggy ass, one inch at a time.

Politics aside, I sincerely doubt anywhere on any Scottish coast is prime for golf in January, particularly for an obese senior citizen who has been known to drive on greens to avoid taking any extra steps. There's a reason that the most memorable Open Championship at Turnberry was such mostly because the weather was surprisingly nice.
