Of course we know Trump's toadies would never tell the Argentines to lie to promote their own agenda

I think you're probably right, but the only chance is if it works to screw both parties.

Remember the line from "Yes, Minister." "The first rule of politics is never to believe anything until it has been officially denied."

Exactly. This is all YF has, attacking the other side. Take that away and he would actually have to talk about Trump on his merits. I wonder why he doesn't want to talk about his guy.

Reporters really wanted to believe this fake news story:

A denial doesn't always mean something is false, but you really don't care about facts, do you?

To your point, there have been five times where the popular winner did not win the electoral vote. The first time had to be decided by the house but the next four has all been Republicans winning the EC and the Dems winning the popular vote (granted the Republican and Democratic parties are not the same when Hayes and Benjamin Harrison won).

The person who originally reported it says he was joking.

The Argentine spokesperson says the story is false.

Is there some further level necessary to prove this story is fake?

Sounds like he begins each show with a humorous monologue:

Newsweek is either having trouble keeping up with the news of the day, or they are actively spreading fake news, as they just tweeted this out in the last few minutes:

Get used to it. All those years of Republicans throwing shit at the wall against Obama and Clinton with an occasional success is going to be nothing when it comes to Trump. It won't matter if it's true or not. The public has already shown it will believe almost anything if it's repeated often enough in a four words or less slogan.

I heard the person who originally reported it was paid off. And I also heard Trump threatened economic sanctions against Argentina unless they said the story was false.

People are talking. Sucks, doesn't it?
