President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

The problem wasn't too many candidates to start, that was easily fixable. The problem was that they didn't take Trump seriously and were each too full of themselves to get out and consolidate behind a single non-Trump candidate, any of them, who would have easily beaten Trump - until it was too late. The Democrats learned their lesson and didn't allow the same thing to happen to them with Bernie playing the role of Trump. Even though all the candidates could easily have laid claim to the right to be the last non-Sanders option standing, it would have risked splintering the non-bernie majority so that he wins with a plurality. So they did the smart, honorable thing and stepped aside, lining up behind a very flawed candidate. They now have the entire US government to show for it.

 

Every few posts can someone actually say what's happening? I'm in the middle of other stuff and want to use this as the news source.
