The Dems need to emphasize to Republicans that what happened Wednesday is a permanent part of history and it’s up to them whether they get reminded of it every day for the next 20 years if they’re willing to take the L, or for the next 200 years if they don’t.

And the Republicans know this. That’s why they’re shitting themselves now. No matter what happens, they own this. They’re trying to deflect by claiming it’s Antifa or the media or the deep state or that BLM created the precedent, but since they’ve alternate facted nearly everything for the last five years, nobody who is sane believes them. They’re already facing a demographic problem with voters, coupled with the fact that their main ideas are antiquated, and now, they are stuck with the Trump Riot on their record, which is on top of every other fuckup they have done for the last 30 years.

They need to read up on the Federalist Party and the Whig Party, because they are facing an existential crisis right now. And many of them already know it.

 

I've had problems in my life but never close to the problems this person is going to have over the next few days.

 

Wednesday showed these guys obviously are a little more dangerous than cosplayers, but they’re pretty close. Bring in some spec ops guys and see how fast all of them turn tail.

 

Interesting in retrospect that she was so adamant about carrying on the House floor. This seems more and more like an inside job. Whomever tugs on the vital thread should win a Pulitzer and enter Woodward/Bernstein territory.

 

Somewhere in their lack of thinking, logic or anything else that requires a functional brain cell, the folks who terrorized the Capitol failed to figure out that the airlines just might consider them the sort of terrorists who would gladly hijack a jet full of passengers.

Brilliant thinking there, folks. (We won't get into that little issue of climbing walls at the Capitol, showing how useless it is to spend billions on walls at the U.S.-Mexico border ... but, again, that requires a rudimentary ability to think.)

 

So why weren't police notified a potential terrorist was trying to board a plane?
