So much for Amurrican Exceptionalism. For years, the GOP has been claiming that Amurrica > every other country because our ideals and principles were better and because we always acted on these morally superior precepts. Now, "everybody else did it" wins the day.

They are literally apologists for slavery.

 

Most of the people who were or became cops/firefighters I knew growing up in Brooklyn are the types who were in the Capitol in spirit, if not in person.

 

The Democrats had a terrible three years of politics,

If you think Democratic politics from 2017-19 were "terrible," there is no adjective on this Earth to describe how much worse Trumpian Republican politics were over that same timespan. Or, is losing 40+ seats and control of the House in 2018 during an Obama-created boom economic surge, and motivating 81 million people to vote against you, resulting in the loss of the Senate, and becoming the laughingstock of our historical allies in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America, great politics?

 

So, uh, let me get this straight: The founders were geniuses who created a unique and perfect country different and better than all others, except that they decided that, like some of those others, that slavery was a feature too good not to include in their own creation. That sound about right?

 

My friend, many argue that he did not lose, and that there was widespread voter “fraud.”
