The weird thing is, if the Republicans just passed their big tax cut and did nothing more, Trump and they could bask in the continuing economic expansion and be pretty popular. But their main priorities (repealing Obamacare, immigration crackdown) are both more likely to disrupt that expansion than not. People suddenly paying a lot more for the same insurance policy or without insurance altogether are unlikely to boost their consumer spending in other areas. Subtract a few million people from the economy, and it shrinks, not grows.

 

Silliness. There's as much smoke here as in the Vince Foster suicide, or in the Bill Clinton body count.

In no other context does the argument that we have no evidence, therefore we must investigate, hold any water.
