I'm trying to wrap my head around how the fine folks in Nicodemus, Kan., fit into this debate.

 

Yeah, but if I gave you the power to due away with the Senate today, you wouldn't use it.

You'd keep the anti-democratic Senate, unless you were personally allowed to draw up some new representative body, that assigned members on a proportional basis.

So, for you, it's really not about getting rid of the most anti-democratic body we have. It's about drawing up a system that would better serve your interests.

So, unless your willing to abolish the Senate today, quit bitching about it.

 

I've got news for you. The vast majority of people in the Deep South are very accepting of any minority who moves to town, too.
