Being an educated and informed person, it probably hit her that the nation was being turned over to a psychotic sexist racist fascist, and there's a significant non-zero chance he is going to end the world.

    Read that again.

    End. The. World.

Maybe a lot more of us ought to be crying.

Because when it's all over there may be nobody left to cry.

You sound like one of the educated and informed who predicted a Clinton landslide.

The criticism of the media for "predict[ing] a Clinton landslide" - and it is the second time it has come up this morning - is unfair. For the 1,000th time, the media didn't predict a Clinton landslide because it didn't visit an A&P in eastern Kentucky enough to understand the mentality of the Trump voter. It predicted a Clinton landslide because the polls indicated a Clinton landslide.

Maybe poll-driven analysis is not the best way to go about journalism.

You couldn't work Nancy Pelosi in there? It's like you're not even trying!

What would you suggest, in the alternative? Peggy Noonan's "vibrations"-driven analysis?

Strangely enough the poll projections were quite accurate in most states where voting was done by actual paper ballot. The projections seem to be off by strangely consistent margins where vote tabulation was mainly by computers.

I am pretty sure there were other stories too. Fetch me a Google search, newbie!

    (But, yeah, polls suck.)
