Big f***ing deal must have been left out of the final draft of the Constitution or Senate rules. The anger this is generating is rather amusing to watch. I'm on pins-and-needles waiting for the next "die in a fire" screed. You get high-fives from on high for that one.

Except when that opinion goes against the established line of thought. Then all bets are off.

I like how right after you posted that, the next few responses were "NO! We must point out the lunacy!"

Sure. But that isn't the SCOTUS.

That feels like a pretty arbitrary, ad hoc line.

I don't get involved in the day-to-day trivial stuff. Yeah, screaming about everything is useless and doesn't help the cause.

But you're damn right this makes me angry. Stolen seat. Using the nuclear option for SCOTUS. While the president is under three criminal investigations.

Should Trump be allowed to make a SCOTUS appointment in the final year of his presidency? #puppet

It's not arbitrary at all, but by all means, join in with Republicans trying to blame the current ugliness on Democrats. The Republicans spent the last eight years setting this tone and they guaranteed and justified this filibuster with their cowardly refusal to even give Garland a hearing. If they had simply voted against him, that would have been a very different matter.
