Now if only the most recent Republican to win a presidential election would show some grace and focus more on governing and less on his victory lap.

Edit: As pern just pointed out, Trump got his start on being a sore loser long before the polls opened. He didn't even stop after he won.

People in Alabama have a mantra they invoke when the lege here does something egregiously stupid - "Thank God for Mississippi".

I'm thinking that there is another state we can add.

Well, this is TrumpMerica. And Trump LOVES the poorly educated.

Feels more like Idiocracy every day.

Will this become the new #BostonStrong thread? We can only hope. Look forward to discussion of how people wearing a Giants jersey deserved a beat-down compared to Adam Jones deserving being called the n-word.

My guess is that aside from the misguided ideal of freedom in this instance, there's an undercurrent of "Hey, let's direct money to the people who really want the benefits of a good education and not waste/save the funds." However, that will be canceled out times 1 million by having to support the kind of people who think it's fine not to educate their children and their children's children and so on and so on.

Sorry, but no way Alabama or Mississippi would ever be worse than Arizona.

Reading the whole answer, I have no idea what his point is, other than "because parental responsibility," which he had already abdicated by whining about getting a courtesy call from a truant officer after one of his seven kids missed 18 days of school. And schools only require attendance because they get money based on daily attendance. And feeding hungry kids is bad.

    Or something.

Feel free to see if you come up a different interpretation:

Rep. Paul Mosley on lawmaker cousins and repealing compulsory education
