Well, the first side to do it will be viewed as the better men and women for having done so.

There's a high ground to be had in this country, if only the pols would quit fucking around in the muck.

This is more fantasy. There can be no bipartisanship without both parties participating. Obama tried it, didn't work. The agendas of the two parties are just too different. Voters have to choose between them and put up with "partisanship," the words and deeds of people who think government is more important than they do.

I've said all along that I think Comey is an honorable guy, who, even when he may have made errors in judgment, wasn't driven by politics.

That's the gist of the piece out yesterday in the New Yorker as well.

Republicans rode 8 years of intransigence into control of all three branches of government.

True, and I suspect they will maintain it for quite awhile.

No, he didn't. Certainly not with the ACA.

His idea of bipartisanship was the same as his idea of a Russian reset.

I've been very critical of the way the ACA passed, but Obama punting on the public option almost immediately was absolutely an olive branch to Republicans.

He shouldn't quit his day job, but this one was pretty funny.

Or it was something other than an olive branch. Namely, lack of party discipline.
