This is a perfect illustration of what I'm talking about as part of the problem. You honestly think that what separates Trump is style rather than substance? You are so blinded by the perceived evil of the other side that you recognize the real thing when you see it. You talk about him the way I think of Carter - his incompetence mitigates against his malevolence. He is a wholly new category of unsuitability for the office. I was upset often that Obama or Clinton was my president, and with the later sometimes embarrassed too, but nothing like the constant humiliation that Trump brings with him. He is the - generally mistaken - stereotype of Americans to Euprope, and of Republicans to Democrats. It will take us decades to recover from this, if we ever can (I'm afraid it's more turning point than blip). I'm really surprised that someone who is usually thoughtful would rather burn it all down than have the other side win an election or two.
