Not really. Fucko committed treason on live worldwide teevee and Doucheowitz's defense is, "oh you can't really believe he'd go on live teevee and commit treason."

Absolutely it's hard to believe. But he still did it.

 

Dershowitz makes the point that there's no evidence of a crime. None. And, usually, you need evidence that a crime was committed before launching a criminal investigation.

He also makes the point that the hoped for crime makes no sense. The Russians needed no help from the Trump campaign to do what they did. What role would the Trump campaign have played in this supposed conspiracy?

 

The role of asking for help with promise of paying them back once he was on office.

Also, you don't know that there is no evidence. Your hopes do not make it true.

 

Russia didn't need that. They would have done what they did anyway.

They never thought Trump would win. They wanted to discredit Clinton's win. They didn't need Trump's help to do that.

And now, Russia, the Democrats and the media are working to undermine Trump, and discredit his victory. It's still exactly what Russia wants/wanted.
