He could go up there and say that he was doing lines off Russian hookers in the Oval Office and admitted the hacking the voting machines and President Jim Jones would lose about 1/10,000th of his support.

EDIT: The same was true about Obama among his, um, core demographics. Except Obama wasn't among the world's most vile and unqualified individuals, so it wasn't particularly alarming.

 

As our attention spans get shorter and shorter, I wonder if they'll at some point start adding soaring Sorkin-esque soundtracks and dramatic pauses to senate hearings.

How in the tank is this guy from Idaho? Hey, he just suggested you drop the investigation and then fired you after you didn't comply. He didn't directly order you to do it. No harm no foul, amirite?
