They're still going to publish this?

Oh, my. Do tell us why it shouldn't be published.

History will be kind to Obama.

It's Jonathan Chait. I'm sure he reads that to himself every night. When he's finished stabbing his Trump doll.

I think he's probably making a crack about how Obama said during the campaign Hillary needed to be elected to preserve his legacy.

    Probably. Weak.

Obama's legacy will be fine. And probably will be remembered even more fondly in a year or two.

Had he been able to run again, Obama would have won 400 EVs. Biden would've, too.

Clinton was flawed. And also had to deal with electoral interference from the FBI director, Russia and fake news sites. And she still got more than two million more votes that Trump.

Hey, Trump won. But only 25 percent of eligible voters cast a ballot for him.

That ain't a mandate. And it doesn't diminish Obama's legacy.

History ought to be kind to him, and cruel to his opposition which was not based on intellectual or policy differences but on the failure to accept democracy and raw hatred of the man. Their hatred of democracy is now returned as #notmypresident which is at least defensible given his 46.2% win against a 48.1% loss

I thought it was kind of silly when he said it because of course it doesn't change his legacy, one that won't be fully known for decades anyway. He was trying to get out the Black vote. It didn't work. YF did make me snicker just a bit though.

A huge part of his legacy may well be putting the Democratic Party in a giant hole that may take decades to dig out of. But I'm guessing that won't be part of many lesson plans.

And lo, his legacy will naught. The new administration shall roll in, ushering in a new era and the Obama legacy shall be salted from the earth.
