Obama screwed up. He should have gone on national TV, told the nation the findings, announced sanctions, and also told how McConnell said he'd make it a partisan political issue. And if he had, YF, you'd have screamed here nonstop for months.

Yeah, that's my opinion on it. And if you think it was devastating for Obama - and it was - reread the bits about the GOP in the story.

Or shrug it off like BTE.

Take a step back and reflect on the fact that the sitting President today stated that the former head of the FBI was going to give false testimony about him and only the President's own lie about taping their conversations prevented that.

This is almost as good as when Hillary Clinton told Wall Street bankers to "knock it off".

A month later, Obama confronted Putin directly during a meeting of world leaders in Hangzhou, China. Accompanied only by interpreters, Obama told Putin that “we knew what he was doing and [he] better stop or else,” according to a senior aide who subsequently spoke with Obama.

Can an attempt to get a witness to testify truthfully be considered tampering?

Any case of witness tampering ever been brought against someone for trying to elicit truthful testimony. LOL.

It's not like he asked him to file a false affidavit.

Obama didn't need Mitch McConnel's permission to take tougher action.

Hot take: Whoever comes in second in the 2020 presidential election will get a federal indictment by 2021. Whole thing is spiraling out of control.

Yeah, he only tried to intimidate someone who was set to testify by alluding to nonexistent evidence of tapes. The only thing more embarrassing than his behavior is the partisan humps who try to defend it.
