    Right. You're the true American, comrade.

    You're not being critical. You're an apologist.

    'Paralyzed' by chaos at home, Trump sets off for Paris - CNNPolitics.com

    "For months, Republicans close to the White House have been wringing their hands about Trump's reliance on his family members -- political neophytes -- for everything from political advice to domestic policy to international affairs.

    A number of those officials warned that the combination of power and naïveté was sure to get Trump's family members in trouble. But even these sources expressed surprise about the damaging nature of the meeting between Trump Jr., Paul Manafort, Jared Kushner and a Russian lawyer. "They're in deep, deep s--- and they don't know it," one Republican said of the Trump White House.

    This Republican predicted the situation will worsen in the near future. Now that Trump's family members have all lawyered up, "they're past the point of coordination," and each person's lawyer will be looking to make a move that will cast their client in a positive light. "Now you're into the phase that they're starting to turn on each other," the source said."

    I wonder how long it will be before the Times or WaPo drop the next bomb. I bet that they have a couple of things yet in reserve. Give it a few days and let the dust settle then hit him again? Wait till he's on the plane coming back from France and screw up his afterglow again?

    After that 'light treason' bit, I think a better comparison for the Trumps would not be the Corleones, but rather the Bluths (but only if Michael didn't exist.)

    Don Jr. = GOB
    Eric = Buster
    Ivanka = Lindsay
    Kushner = Tobias

    Jared Kushner may soon pine for the days when his biggest headache was being upside down on Manhattan real estate.

    Trump-Russia investigators probe Jared Kushner-run digital operation

    And just to throw YF a bone, Mark Warner delivers a shot below Hillary's water line even as he details how precise the ratfucking may have gotten.

    And remember the other day when I speculated that if Trump did this in the general election he would have been just as happy to do it in the primary? I'll go ahead and claim my Whitman rights on that one.
