What makes anyone think that Trump will abandon his family and start making smart political hires?

As for the base, they're entrenched. They believe that current job numbers and booming economy are solely because of Trump. They believe the border is more secure right now, solely because of Trump. They believe that globalization is awful and they love that Trump's entire agenda is America first. They believe he has done more to fight ISIS in six months than Obama did in eight years. They're not going anywhere.
