Lose track of time here, but pretty sure it was pre and post.

Terrible deal. No "adults" involved in putting it together.

The worst part of Trump's presidency is that it has dumbed down the populace. Most notably liberals, who don't even try to make cogent points anymore and instead are content to attempt to outTrump Trump. You are him.

Is America a worse country because the number of uninsured people has declined and the number of insured has increased with the implementation of Obamacare? Are things better when people don't have health insurance?

Things are better when people have the option. Also, you didn't answer my previous question.

Wait a sec. The play sequence was two fumbles and a punt?

Repeal and Replace is only a fairly recent phenomenon. For a long time, it was Repeal Lock Stock and Barrel.

I don't know what meets your standards of thoughtfulness. Probably Friday at 3:58 p.m.
So things were better when people had the "option" to get health insurance? Back pre Obamacare? Look at one of your states, Kentucky, where 400,000 to 500,000 have gotten insurance and some improvement -- not entire improvement, admittedly -- has already become apparent. The portion of residents saying their health is fair or poor declined from 24 percent to 22 in two years. Even if the rate of improvement slows, steady progress will mean the number will be under 20 percent in time. Without Obamacare, fair bet to say the rate of poor health would have kept going up.
Obamacare's impact in Ky: 7 things to know

Before the GOP started to sabotage the system, people were satisfied with Obamacare in increasing numbers. They were essentially saying their health situation was better than it had been. Isn't that the sort of thing government's supposed to do? To help people? Or is it only to help business and promote a particular brand of religion?

Does this mean there will be no party in the Rose Garden tomorrow? So disappointing. I was hoping to see the great Dealmakers hold McConnell's musket aloft and talk to us about freedom and getting the evil fedruhl government off our backs.
No, I don't know the ins and outs of how Obamacare can be improved, but the Republicans' point was not to bring about some policy fix; it was to kill a policy that bore the name of the first black president in order to diminish his prominence in history. What else are we to conclude when they've had seven years to craft a replacement and haven't come close to achieving it? If their goal was to remake healthcare in this country, they could have created something worthy of compromise. But they haven't.
