$2,000 a month? Good god, man! As someone who doesn't really pay attention to who used to be who, do you mind asking where you live that childcare is $2,000/month?

    You're not wrong.
It's toalyl a tug of war between our heads and hearts right now. Heads say Daycare B is the way to go. Hearts say Daycare A. Even when head knows that our hearts are making a way bigger deal out of it than it is :D

Steaming pile doesn't even begin to describe that. It's a bunch of baseless assertions with the word "myth" thrown in. Calling something a myth doesn't demonstrate that something is a myth.

This sentence was a beauty: "One reason why Americans pay even more is that our political leaders are richly rewarded by an army of more than 1,000 lobbyists to not set up an independent agency to determine fair prices that reflect the added clinical value for patients: Drug companies champion what they call a “free market,” but they want to disarm the purchasing side of the market before bargaining even starts."

It's mind boggling to me. The reason we have an army of lobbyists trying to buy government advantages is because we don't allow our markets to operate freely -- our government has turned health care in this country into a planned economic mess. That always leads to corruption, inefficiency, etc. But somehow his solution to that isn't, "let the market really operate freely." For this guy it's, "No, we need an independent agency to determine fair prices that reflect the added clinical value for patients."

I have a crazy idea. Let's establish that agency. And make EVERYONE who wants to be a part of that agency have an equal say in what the agency decides. We can call it the "supply and demand agency." Maybe it will come up with "fair" prices.

Kid barely knows the difference between peanut butter and Legos. You switch to B if it has the preschool and is so very highly regarded. (S)he'll get over the change in scenery in 2 seconds.

Millionaire was appointment TV in my apartment when it first came on. I even thought it kinda harkened back to the 50s, when everyone would gather around the TV at night, to watch the (now we know they were fixed) quiz shows. Then they ruined it by putting it on every damn night of the week.

What planet do you live on? Liberals wished for his death after his vote TO DEBATE a bill.

A 48-vote majority might work better.
