Tillerson came recommended by Condoleezza Rice and Bob Gates. I guess we know now why Gates met with Trump:

Tillerson was brought into Trump Tower for an interview with Trump at the recommendation of former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who count Exxon among their private consulting clients, according to two sources familiar with the conversations. His name was first publicly floated for the job in early December and he met privately with Trump on Tuesday. Rice sat down with the President-elect in late November, and Gates followed her three days later.

While Gates praised Trump's choice of retired Marine General James Mattis to lead the Department of Defense, he has cautioned against the selection of another general to lead the State Department. He said after his meeting with Trump that he thought "it would be awkward to have military officers both [as] secretary of state and secretary of defense."

I'd expect the same outrage from the Being Liberal and Occupy Democrats crowd if RNC emails were hacked.

According to the CIA, RNC was hacked. Russians are keeping information for future use. That's actually more sinister and yes I denounce it. It's becoming more and more clear that for many people patriotism is a lie, but tribalism is real.

RNC calls bullshit on this claim:

Spicer, however, cast doubts on the reports Saturday, claiming that the RNC is working with separate U.S. intelligence agencies who have concluded that the RNC was not hacked.

“The intelligence is wrong,” Spicer told Smerconish. “It didn’t happened. We offered the New York Times conclusive proof that it didn’t happen. They ignored it. They refused to look at it because it didn’t fit the narrative.”

“The bottom line is the intelligence is wrong,” he continued. “They are writing that the conclusion they came to was based in part on the fact the RNC was hacked. It wasn’t hacked. We have intelligence agencies that we worked with that are willing to sort this out.”

Spicer also criticized the media — and Smerconish personally — for accusing him of lying, when he’s “just trying to get the facts out there.”

“Michael, the New York Times in their story said that they based their conclusion on the fact that the RNC was hacked. If the RNC was not hacked, that casts doubt on their conclusions. I don’t understand why this is that difficult to understand.”

So it's OK to lie if you're self-employed? No wonder Moses took so long with those 10 Commandments. There's all that fine print.

I'm shocked they would. Perhaps they'll share the conclusive proof the NYT ignored with the public through other media. Hmm. Why not now?

    I didn't say that.

But, an employee can face repercussions from his employer when he makes mistakes.

Jones operates in the marketplace. He doesn't have an employer who can reprimand him.

Would it be ironic or karma if Hillary killed him?

What's Russia gonna blackmail Trump with? He was respectful to an immigrant once? He left a decent tip at dinner? The tags are still on his mattress?
