I'm sure history will look favorably on McCain. I just don't think this latest instance will ultimately be a big part of that.

It won't be a black mark either. His 2008 run will do that. This will likely be one of those legend moments spoken of as part of his mythos but not totally what's used to define him.

Simply referring to the subject with All Due Respect.

Many politicians are disagreeable and dislikeable. (See Nixon. See Hitlerry.) This is a human (??) piece of shit.

And yet he had a bone spur that kept him from going to Vietnam.

Probably kept him out of the USA Today All-American high school soccer game.

Pete, based on what I'm reading (and no sources whatsoever) I tend to agree that money laundering for the Russian mob/oligarchs/Putin's buddies is the easiest road to connecting Trump to criminal behavior. It looks like Bharara was looking into a sensitive, vulnerable area, and fired as was Comey. Trump became increasingly erratic once it was revealed that Mueller was actively looking into his finances and financial history. Throw in his family finances "red line" warning and I think money laundering is actively in play, along with Deutsche Bank's possible connections to pass through Russian cash. Trump is also vulnerable if Kushner is caught up in this, as he is a family member who is seen as not just a Trump surrogate but his right hand man

On the collusion front, I don't think we'll really know how serious the evidence is until Mueller is ready to reveal his report. There is a lot of talk about e-mail and voice intercepts by our intel agencies, the Five I's, and other Euro sources. Given the general ineptness of the people surrounding Trump, I would not be surprised if they were indeed caught out in meetings or discussions with Russian agents of influence who they had no idea might be under surveillance. The vast majority of this info is in the hands of the intel services, who are much more disciplined than most regarding leaks. Countering that possibility is that at least some of this evidence should have gone to the various Congressional oversight committees by now, and there have been no substantive leaks from there that I know of. I'm not sure that politicians in numbers are capable of not leaking that sort of story.

While not being the sort of "collusion" story which has been kicked around, it also looks very possible based on Trump, Jr's meeting that the campaign might have accepted Russian intel or intel plus laundered campaign funds in exchange for loosening sanctions. There are a number of Trump's WH associates who are vulnerable to pressure by prosecutors and might flip to stay out of jail, and it would only take one to blow that wide open.

The wild card is New York AG Schneidermann's various investigations of Trumpworld. Any indictments coming from him would be state, not federal, and don't face the same limitations as federal investigations. Trump has a long history in New York, there are a lot of rugs to look under for the usual sort of mob ties, bribery, cutting corners, etc. In particular, if there is any solid evidence of Trump Models or Trump Escorts being involved with underage models/escorts and prostitution, or if he can be solidly tied to Jeffery Epstein's pedophile parties, well... I think sex crimes or trafficing would be hard for even Trump's base to shrug off. It puts him in a class with Clinton, only with a much more offensive profile than blowjobs in the Oval by a 24 year old intern.

Mueller's history is to be close mouthed and very deliberate. Unless his hand is forced I'd expect his investigation to grind on for nine to eighteen painful months. If Trump attempts to fire him or tries some sort of power play, some of it might break sooner.

Does that sound reasonable to you based on what you know?

And repeating the same lines is neither clever nor interesting. You're a hack comic. Just shut the fuck up.

It's not supposed to be clever or interesting. It's shoveling dirt on a piece of shit.

It is somewhat amusing that the snowflakes who get all pissy that we're calling their hero(es) nasty names, are mostly the same fuckers who piss and bitch about "political correctness."

Which is basically just code for "why can't I call Obama a n***er?"

OK, fuckers, you want "political incorrectness," you're in the big leagues now.
