He delivered the keynote address at the 2004 convention. Please stop pretending like he came out of nowhere.

The farm tax break loophole is pretty common among rich people in New Jersey.

What percentage of keynote speakers go on to run for President? It must be a very small percentage. Certainly it isn't a designator for the candidate who is on deck.

Fun story: We had a guest speaker in my Congress (political science) class who was the press secretary for Jesse Jackson Jr. (insert jokes here) And he specifically mentioned Barack Obama by name. I'd have to go back and look up exactly which semester it was, but it wouldn't have been any later than spring of 2004. So, (raised hand emoji).

Obama had a cake walk of a Senate race in 2004. If you recall, his original opponent dropped out, and then finally Alan Keyes was drafted to oppose him. Obama spent much of the race campaigning, and fundraising, for candidates in other races across the country. He was already on his way to becoming a star. That's why he was given the keynote.

No "up and coming" Democrat is nearly as far along in 2017 as Obama was in 2004 -- a year earlier in the cycle.

Is there one on the verge of a breakthrough? I don't see it.

Obama, Clinton, Clinton, Clinton, Biden and Sanders continue to swallow all the oxygen.

Robert Mueller is the face of opposition to Trump now, not Kamala Harris.

He instantly became a contender after that speech. He was a name from then on. When did you start following politics?

Mario Cuomo never ran for President. Nobody outside of NY ever gave him a moment's thought after his '84 keynote speech.

It's August 5, 2017. To quote an NFL quarterback, relax.

If Hillary is the 2020 nominee, ill change your daughter's diapers for a year.
