I don't think he's crazy or stupid.

If his aides, especially guys like Mattis, Kelly, and McMaster, sensed he was considering it for political reasons, his motivation would leak, and it would hurt him politically, not help him.

So, doing it "for political purposes" is a no win move.

I also think guys like Mattis, Kelly, and McMaster would resign. Let's remember that Trump really does respect -- and need -- these guys, and wouldn't want to to lose them.

You seem to be putting a lot of faith in Trump listening to his advisers, to which I think, "there's a first time for everything." This is the same Trump who says he knows more than the generals and doesn't need daily briefings (except for the ones that are full of warm fuzzies). So, there's that. He may be the looser cannon than the North Koreans.

 

This is your problem. Trump is both.

He literally cares about ONE singular thing: himself. He's mentally ill.

He ran for president because Obama made a few jokes at his expense. And in a perfect shit storm, he won.

If North Korea keeps calling him an idiot and weakling? What happens then?

It's comical his cult believes he will do one damn thing for them. He just wants the applause. He'll do nothing to help anyone but himself.

You know it's true.

 

There was probably a time in his life where he was crazy but not stupid. If you watch older interviews, it's more coherent. It's going on him fast. If he makes it to year four, or god help us eight, it's gonna get bad.

 

Which would leave you pissed off and fuming that the leakers are out to destroy Trump and undermine America. You're Baghdad Bob without the charm.

 

1999 Trump sounds light years more coherent and intelligent than the 2017 one.
