Me. It's not one of their higher-priority beats, so I don't get too many bylines. Most of my stories are about Barry Corbin winning at sports bar trivia.

I'd piss on a spark plug if I thought it would do any good.

Would be nice if they were directly involved with the companies whose shenanigans drove this country into recession.

I certainly don't feel that way. Hell, I even agree with Ragu's critique of Elizabeth Warren. I do, however, agree with the observation of the man she wrongly smeared, Whitney Tilson, that “large swaths of the financial industry have run amok and prey on vulnerable Americans, and thus strong regulation, including a muscular Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, is sorely needed.”

I look forward to your decisive takedown of Metroplex hipsters who take their fixies on DART.

Donald Trump said Monday that he is pulling The Washington Post’s credentials to cover his events because he is upset with the newspaper’s coverage of his campaign. The move puts the newspaper on a long list of media outlets that the presumptive Republican nominee has banned for reporting that displeased him.

“Based on the incredibly inaccurate coverage and reporting of the record setting Trump campaign, we are hereby revoking the press credentials of the phony and dishonest Washington Post,” read a post on Trump’s Facebook page. ...

In a statement, Post Executive Editor Martin Baron said: “Donald Trump’s decision to revoke The Washington Post’s press credentials is nothing less than a repudiation of the role of a free and independent press. When coverage doesn’t correspond to what the candidate wants it to be, then a news organization is banished.

“The Post will continue to cover Donald Trump as it has all along — honorably, honestly, accurately, energetically and unflinchingly,” Baron continued. “We’re proud of our coverage, and we’re going to keep at it.”

Did Newsweek ever retract their "founder of Bitcoin" article?

Hopefully, this article, is better sourced:

They ran something like this during the campaign, too. No one cared. No one cares about any of his shenanigans. He has the entire country snowed.

That is not so. Survey after survey showed that many Trump supporters thought he was a shady businessman, but also thought he'd put that shadiness to work for them. It's just like every other President. When things go well, their defining traits are seen as positives. When they don't, they become negatives.
PS: Read an interesting piece at Bloomberg on Sec. of State nominee Tillerson. Made point that as an international energy giant CEO, aside from Russia Tillerson's natural inclination would be to defend international relations status quo in which ExxonMobil worked.
