It was only slightly less rational to believe the Soviet Union --- a nation still shattered by 27 million WWII deaths --- would ever use them first, but we tried to convince our citizens that they would. They, OTOH, thought there was a very real possibility the U.S. might use them first, based on the bluster from Washington --- most notably by Curtis LeMay and Thomas Power --- and continuous incursions into their airspace. We've always been the provocateurs. Always.

No, we're not. This is a fringe group of idiots that derives its support from about .0000000000000000000000000000001 percent of the population. As soon as they run into any trouble, this nonsense will stop. America is not in danger of being overthrown by a bunch of racist frat boys who "arm" themselves at Home Depot.

 

Those copay/premium subsidies weren't legal. Blaming him for the premium increases associated with their termination makes about as much sense as blaming him for premiums that aren't lower because he didn't order the sale of the U.S. gold reserve to distribute to exchange participants.

 

I was far more inclined to believe this view before November 9, 2016. Not so much now.
