Trump has the cover of Breitbart and InfoWars to go hard against the white nationalists ...

A Breitbart account of the white supremacist gathering described it as “a torch-wielding, Nazi-flag-waving dereliction of American values” and “a disgusting and unwelcome throwback to segregationist ideas.”

In an online video, Infowars founder Alex Jones said “the white nationalists who hate people who aren't white are idiots, and I decry it.”

Analysis | Trump’s response to Charlottesville was softer than the reactions of Breitbart and Infowars

    Ugh.

    I don't want to defend @WriteThinking. He/she is not a critical thinker.

Heather Heyer was murdered by a neo-Nazi. She bares no blame for her own death. Obviously.

No one should defend the Nazi views of these people, or any violence, or intention of violence, on their behalf.

But, they should be able to hold a rally and not be assaulted. This is a basic view. It's a longstanding American view. It's the ACLU's view.

Learn about the KKK rally in Skokie. People protested it. They did not meet it with violence.

I'm no more defending Nazis when i say this than you are defending murders or rapists when you criticize those who fantasize about them receiving prison justice.

The engineers in Kansas, the people on the train in Seattle, they probably looked at the radical the wrong way too, bringing it on themselves.

And the McVeigh copycat arrested this weekend was only going to use his bomb on people who showed up to counter protest him.

Watching cable, they may have just switched Trump's folder with the prepared remarks?

    Anybody else see that?

Hey Nazi lovers, white nationalists, you do realize that the people you claim are holding you down are whites right? Its not the minorities that hold the power in the country and making the decisions you claim are discriminatory, its people just like you. Its your fathers, your cousins, your kinfolk.

When you rally for a political ideology whose express purpose is literal, direct genocide, you have committed violence and people who confront you in any capacity are acting in self-defense.

Speaking anecdotally, my vote is that sports can play a large role. Running a restaurant, you'd be amazed the number of times a high-school employee dumps a shift because a coach decided to add more practices to the schedule. These same coaches who extol the virtue of sports as they relate to camaraderie, discipline, and developing skills that will translate in the real world will demand their players to leave their co-workers and employer hanging at a moment's notice regardless of the real-world ramifications of short-staffing a local business. Apparently two extra days of practice are what separate a 2-7 1A basketball team from greatness.

In my area, sports lower the priorities of jobs if they don't discourage kids from seeking out work altogether.

No, but you probably should after blaming the victim on this one. But as JC pointed out, you defended a pedophile and the parents who knew what he was doing and let it continue, so it's not surprising.

Those counter protesters had every right to speak their minds. For you to blame them for the violence is ridiculous.
