What a weird coincidence that these were two primary locations for UW students to get the proper state ID to vote, and the new location is significantly more of a pain to get to.

Yep, and this was already the known rule long before we invaded. Our ordeal only reinforces it.

It ain't just how many have tried and failed, but who, as it includes the most powerful forces in world history (the Brits at the height of the British Empire, the Soviets at the height of their superpower era, 21 century "world's only superpower' USA, etc.). Nobody can conquer that place.

In our case, 9/11 gave us little choice but to invade. But I wish we'd set more realistic goals for the venture. The notion that we'd completely remove the Taliban and Al Qaeda and install a stable pro-West democracy as their replacement? Well, that was just setting ourselves up for failure.

Why do they need new ID. They should vote absentee, based on their permanent address?

Unless they're going to give in state tuition to anyone who gets a local ID; I don't see why they should be registering to vote at a temporary address.
