He never claimed Hurricane Irma was a liberal hoax. What a dumb thing to say.

Over the years, he's also regularly broadcast from alternate locations when hurricanes have threatened Florida.

Sure he did.

“So there is a desire to advance this climate change agenda, and hurricanes are one of the fastest and best ways to do it. You can accomplish a lot just by creating fear and panic. You don’t need a hurricane to hit anywhere,” Limbaugh said on his show Tuesday. “All you need is to create the fear and panic accompanied by talk that climate change is causing hurricanes to become more frequent and bigger and more dangerous, and you create the panic, and it’s mission accomplished, agenda advanced.”

 

Right.

A hurricane can be a big threatening event, and the media can also use them to create panic and advance a political agenda.

Those two things are not in opposition.

Rahm Emmanuel famously said that you never let a serous crisis go to waste.

What he said was incredibly irresponsible given the situation and his listeners gullibility. He says these ridiculous and dangerous things then when people call him on it he acts like he's performing as a parody of a right-winger.
