That was the joke. Maybe it was too complicated, or just unfunny.

Pretty soon, this man has to realize that it's not a good idea to talk down to the masses when they all believe you're a simpleton in the first place.

If Bassett didn't die of brain cancer, he would have never seen Trump's presidency coming. /YF

Trump will always be a bridge-and-tunnel guy. He can build the fancy hotels but they will never be the Ritz-Carlton. Golf courses, but he will never be a member at August and develop buildings, but they'll never be masterpieces. He can donate "millions" of dollars, but he won't be invited onto the most esteemed boards. He can be President, but he'll still just be a bridge and tunnel guy shunned the crowd he most aspires to be a part of.

PS - people who tangle with Trump mysteriously seem to get brain cancer...hmmmm.

U.S. denies request for Puerto Rico shipping waiver

The Jones Act limits shipping between coasts to U.S. flagged vessels. However, in the wake of brutal storms, the government has occasionally issued temporary waivers to allow the use of cheaper, tax free, or more readily available foreign flagged ships.

The Department of Homeland Security, which waived the act after hurricanes Harvey and Irma, did not agree an exemption would help this time.
