Ketchup is fine as long as you're not putting it on a well done steak.

You can't really do that, though. The math will not let you.

If, say, you slash the marginal rates on the middle class (say, the 15 percent bracket) to 10 percent, the rich will also see that reduction (it's 10 or 15 percent of the first $xx,xxx of income, and EVERYBODY sees that reduction).

The ONLY way you can institute a tax cut that helps the middle class and does not help the rich is by doing two things: Slashing the middle class bracket (and/or increasing allowable deductions) WHILE AT THE SAME TIME significantly increasing the top marginal rate. And it would take a boost in that marginal rate to around 45-50 percent for the rich to get back to even after their gains from the middle class rate reduction are figured in.

With so many people having little or no federal income tax burden, there is really not much room to maneuver. My effective tax burden last year was less than 6 percent, thanks in part to a 17 percent 401(k) contribution. Seriously, how much lower can one expect to go?

One thing I'd like to see with Tax Reform is an automatic sunset on any tax cut - and revert to the tax code 0f 1973, when our debt was just 20 pct of our GDP.

Exactly my point. YF has also done exactly that on this board.

Spencer's followers have reserved halls at two more colleges in the name of vague sounding organizations. When the schools found out that it was actually for Richard Spencer to speak, they cancelled the reservations. Spencer is threatening to sue them, as he did Auburn. He's a real piece of work.

Maybe the 2nd Amendment people will have something to say about Trump. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Basketball players have more merchandise related to their brand to sell, so they will largely act accordingly.
