    Is Tuesday a "trust NBC day" or an "NBC Is fake news day."

    And the answer on Merino is I imagine he was a lobbyist recommendation and fit with the narrative of hiring secretaries with no interest in carrying out the duties of the job.

    Hey man, if you want to argue that NBC went with an unreliable source in this case, when the person we're talking about is the WH Chief of Staff, have at it.

    If they did that, they deserve to have their "news license" stripped from them.

    Just pointing out regular "lametream Media critics" seem to have no problem trusting and amplifying legitimate news sources when it suits their purposes.

    Look, just because they use sources, who whose veracity and motives we aren't able to judge, doesn't mean I think they're stupid enough to get this one wrong.

    To get this one wrong would require a degree of incompetence I believe is beyond them.
