I'll have to check. Agreed, and it's been the best for a LONG time.

I remember back in 1984 working with a Brit named Ian who lamented being unable to get any news in the US about the coal strike that was shutting the U.K. down. He told me then that the USA and its media were a bunch of self-centered assholes.

And despite the rise of the Info Age and the Internet, which makes getting tailored hometown news easier for visiting foreigners, the USA is still filled with a lot of self-centered assholes 30+ years later.

 

I do wonder about the future of Christian conservative hero Bill O'Reilly. Harassing women won't cause him any grief with his people, but sending gay porn? Now that'll make him a pariah.

From the Times story:
Although the deal has not been previously made public, the network's parent company, 21st Century Fox, acknowledges that it was aware of the woman's complaints about Mr. O'Reilly. They included allegations of repeated harassment, a nonconsensual sexual relationship and the sending of gay pornography and other sexually explicit material to her, according to the people briefed on the matter.

 

Assuming it was girl/girl...?

 

That Vox interview... on the one hand it's really nothing new, but on the other, he's completely incoherent.

 

This thread quickly sums up the stupidity of BillO's argument.
