btw, the rules and regs for running your company's 401k have just gotten much more onerous, via the DOL. Your company now has to have an advisor to your plan. You can either do it in house, and people in the company have legal exposure, and costs (including hiring an ERISA attorney); or, you throw money at the problem, and have your administrator, like an ADP, or whoever runs your 401k, do it.

If I am running a company, and my employees are going to save a total of $2,400 a year, I might say fuck it, shitcan the 401k, and throw them a bone, like a pizza party, or happy hour at Applebee's once a quarter.

He's the exact opposite of every good boss in the world. He's quick to claim credit but even faster to shift blame to underlings.

For once I believe Trump completely. If you were planning a top secret military mission, would you let that blabbermouth in on it?

Pah! I have made low SEVEN figures for close to 30 years.

Oh, wait... you mean to the left of the decimal point.

    Never mind.

Definitely contribute up to the max of your company's match.

After that, use an outside Roth IRA or some other mutual funds vehicle. (Besides the tax-free growth, you don't usually want 100 percent of both your current income and retirement income to be based on the same source.)
