She received more votes in the primaries. There's no way the DNC could have tossed that out and gone with Bernie just because polls showed he could have beaten Trump. Pretty sure it doesn't work that way.

 

All of the denials the DNC made in the last year about their thumb being on the scale for Hillary, were BS. They lied. The Obama administration didn't seem too interested in the details, either.

 

So were they supposed to just toss out the outcome of the primaries and go with Bernie?

 

"Hmm a person who has been a member of our party (since Watergate at least) got more votes. A person who isn't a Democrat, and doesn't raise money for other Democrats but does caucus with us, thinks he should still get our nomination for president. What should we do?"

 

Regardless of what the polls said about him beating Trump, the Republicans would have eaten him alive.

 

100 percent agree. And the whole narrative would be "How could we have run a socialist/communist against this clown? It was the only chance he had to win."
