Opinion Savvy does a lot of Southern polling. Don't know its track record, but there has been one other poll showing the race tied a couple weeks ago, so it's not a completely weird result.

Why do Alabamans trust Ashley Judd and Angelina Jolie but not their own small town Republican women?

 

Ala voters, please don't vote for the child molester. That's what this comes down to. How is this even a close call?

There are two groups of defenders:

1) The ones who think the liberal Washington Post and a harem of lying, money-grubbing sluts are in cahoots here to bring down Roy Moore.
2) The ones who don't understand what the big deal is about a little fooling around between a 32-year-old District Attorney and a 14-year-old middle schooler he met while babysitting her during her own child custody hearing.

The people in the first group are blind as bat but I kind of get it.

The people in the second group ... man.

 

In part because the Democratic nominee has done something that Alabama voters find more repulsive than child molestation: prosecution of the Klan.
